BSI BS8599-2 Motoring First Aid Kits (MK3246)
SKU: MK32462In 2014 The British Standards Institution (BSI) announced its first UK standard for motor vehicle first aid kits under the title BS8599-2.
Having access to a first aid kit in a vehicle is essential in the event of a road accident and other minor incidents such as cuts, abrasions and burns.
The BS8599-2 first aid kit content has been specially selected for ease of use and does not require any first aid training.
BS8599-2 is availalbe in three sizes, determined by the category of hazard and potential passenger numbers. Details below:
Small Kit – 1-3 Passengers e.g. mopeds, motorcycles and tricycles
Medium Kit – 1-8 Passengers e.g. cars, taxis, commercial vehicles
Large Kit – 1-16 Passengers e.g. minibuses, small buses
17 Passengers will require 2 Large Kits, multi-level vehicles may require more than this
